Rest in the Lord ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ

7 Bible Verses – What does God say about rest?

Matthew 11:28-30 โ€œCome to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.โ€

Exodus 20:8-11 โ€œโ€œRemember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days you shall labor, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the Lord your God. On it you shall not do any work, you, or your son, or your daughter, your male servant, or your female servant, or your livestock, or the sojourner who is within your gates. For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that is in them, and rested on the seventh day. Therefore the Lord blessed the Sabbath day and made it holy.โ€

Proverbs 3:24 โ€œIf you lie down, you will not be afraid; when you lie down, your sleep will be sweet.โ€

Psalm 3:5 โ€œI lay down and slept; I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.โ€

Psalm 91:1-2 โ€œHe who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will abide in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say to the Lord, โ€œMy refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.โ€

Psalm 23:1-2 โ€œ A Psalm of David. The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures. He leads me beside still waters.โ€

Isaiah 14:3-4 โ€œWhen the Lord has given you rest from your pain and turmoil and the hard service with which you were made to serve, you will take up this taunt against the king of Babylon: โ€œHow the oppressor has ceased, the insolent fury ceased!โ€

Dear God, Thank you for your beautiful, and most magnificent words. We ask you to give us peaceful rest, and assurance that everything is going to be alright. In Jesus name we Thank you, and forever praise you, Amen ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿผ
