Follow the light

We are all living through a global pandemic.

It seems so dark out there…

We have to keep that light inside us lit.

So that the flames will keep us going.

My light is the holy spirit.

I would like to share this simple prayer with you all:

Dear God, Thank you for being the best Father to us. We come to you today to ask for continued blessings. Please help us all to keep that light within us lit, even while there is darkness around us. Please God, send us what we need to keep going on, be our guiding light. Thank you, in Jesus name Amen.

Bible Verses about following the light:

John 8:12 “Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

Psalm 43:3 “Send out your light and your truth; let them lead me; let them bring me to your holy hill and to your dwelling!”

John 1:1-51 “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. In him was life, and the life was the light of men. The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it. …”

Psalm 36:9 “For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light.”

Psalm 18:28 “For it is you who light my lamp; the Lord my God lightens my darkness.”

  1. Yes, He is our light! As I read your post the following verse came to my mind: “Your Word is a lamp to guide my feet, and a light for my path.” Psalm 119:105

But for any light to be useful, we need to reach out and turn on the switch – and this verse came to me: “Search for the Lord and for His strength, continually seek Him.” 1 Chronicles 16:11

May you feel the Lord’s presence and be a light for others during this pandemic.
